Symposium dinner on the Eiffel Tower

Wednesday 10 October, at 19h00

This year, there will be an opportunity to sample real high-level cuisine at the SKADS Symposium dinner in the Altitude95 restaurant on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, at 95 metres above a sea of tourists. The cost of this three-course dinner, with wine, will be only 50 EUR per person, thanks to financial support from SKADS (partners are welcome). When you register, please indicate if you will attend the dinner. The restaurant will need to know the exact number of diners a week before the Symposium starts.

Note Change of Venue !

due to the large number of participants, we have changed the venue to a larger room.

Observatoire de Meudon:

Built on the site of the Chateau of Louis le Grand Dauphin (the son of King Louis XIV), the Meudon Observatory is approximately 10km from the centre of Paris, and is easily reachable by the Paris rapid transit system.

From Denfert-Rochereau near the Paris Observatory, take metro line 6 to Gare Montparnasse. Follow the signs Transilien SNCF upstairs to platforms 11 to 13. The train to Meudon has terminus in Plaisir Grignon or Rambouillet, and you should get off at Bellevue. Check the board before you board the train to ensure you are not on the express which does not stop at Bellevue.

From Bellevue it is a 15 minute walk up Avenue du Chateau to the Meudon Observatory. The workshop is taking place in the amphitheatre of Building 18

Steve Torchinsky and Wim van Driel will meet participants at 9am on Wednesday, 10 October, outside in front of the Denfert-Rochereau RER station. From there we will lead you to Meudon Observatory. We will provide you with the correct metro tickets (for you to reimburse us at a more convenient time)
